Brett can't wait to hit the beach in Westerly with the New England Science and Sailing crew. He'll spend the morning learning about water safety, cleaning up the beach, and maybe even catch a few waves. We're teaming up with Blue Ocean Society and Prescott Park Arts Festival to clean up Foss Beach in Rye! Be a part of this fun-filled effort as we clean the beach, and then celebrate around a campfire complete with a few acoustic songs by Brett. Friends of Acadia helps lead the charge in keeping Acadia National Park clean, safe, and open to the public -- Brett couldn't be more excited to team up with them for a beach clean up and environmental session. We're excited to team up with Young Men at the Helm, a non-profit that provides leadership training for young men in the Hudson Valley by spending three days aboard a ship studying local ecology, heritage, navigation and maritime skills. Brett will spend the morning prepping the ship for their next voyage. You can learn more about Young Men at the Helm and how to get involved right here.

It's important to improve community access to the White River so we can help maintain the health of the water for years to come. Oysters are being harvested to dangerously low levels, and to restore the natural balance, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation is helping protect and regenerate the local population. Brett will be stopping by the CBF to learn more about oyster preservation and help build protective winter habitats. Learn more about CBF and RSVP to join us on August 21st!

Brett is taking the time to talk with local communities about ways we can help the environment. Here in Ardmore, Brett will join children at the Riverbend Environmental Education Center for an afternoon of educational fun, learn more about how you can get involved with this important work.
